“SOMETIMES YOU NEVER”
© Tad (http://JTK.CA) @NudistPoet a.k.a. Jonathan Tad Ketchen
Sometimes you never
Know what’s left of feelings until they’re gone.
Sometimes you never
Open up until the door is closed.
Sometimes you never
Dive . . . for fear of falling.
Sometimes you never
Fall . . . for fear of splashing.
Sometimes you never
Splash . . . for fear of getting wet.
Sometimes you never
Get wet . . . for fear of drowning and waking in the pit of Hell.
But,
After death wins out,
Six feet above you will stand
A gravestone engraved with
Our only memory of you —
“SOMETIMES I NEVER DID.”
