I am fortunate that I am a very good sleeper. The interesting thing is yesterday, I woke up with sleep paralysis, but I didn't freak out like a lot of people do. They don't realize like I do that sleep paralysis is normal and keeps you from injuring yourself during the night. It's just that you almost never notice it. But I did notice it as I was waking up yesterday. I opened my eyes but could not move. After a couple of minutes I could move my head a little bit, and after a few more minutes, I slowly could move my limbs and very carefully get out of bed. It didn't freak me out because I know about it. I just thought, "This is cool." Because I rarely experience it. Also, I know that when you are on your way into sleep, your body can jerk. I guess that's the process of going "into" sleep paralysis, but I only ever remember it happening to me once in my life. I think I was around 12 or so, and my whole body jerked as I was going to sleep.
