Thank you for all the kind wishes on my 58th birthday yesterday, New Year’s Eve! HAPPY 2026! 💖

8:44 PM (Central Standard Time) was my birth minute on New Year’s Eve 1967. However, my hospital bracelet in my baby book has the time listed as 4:88. Dyslexic health care worker. 🤣💖

As a kid, I wished I were a New Year’s baby rather than a New Year’s Eve baby. I had to start school a whole year earlier because I was born before midnight rather than after. I can still remember standing in front of the school at the beginning of the school year (with Mom) and crying. On the bright side, with a New Year’s Eve birthday, every year the whole world throws me a party with fireworks and everything.

I’m also a nit-picker, so I was mentally mocking all the NEW YEAR’S EVE 2026 signs that should have technically been NEW YEAR’S EVE 2025. NEW YEAR’S 2026 or NEW YEAR’S DAY 2026 would have been correct. But every year MORONS are in charge of graphic design at celebrations!
