I vote these the 2 best opera singers in history: LUCIANO PAVAROTTI & LEONTYNE PRICE [Un ballo in máschera] https://youtu.be/S6Hdh0lSYrU ::: I saw Leontyne Price live in concert at Proctor's Theatre, Schenectady, NY, back in the 1980's. I even have her autographed picture from when I went backstage and shook her hand, telling her how phenomenal her performance was. I wonder if she noticed I was the dork in the audience who stood up and gave her a one-man standing ovation after one of her arias. My poor parents, were probably so embarrased. Dad was an opera aficionado and was probably thinking, "I should have taught this kid some opera etiquette." I remember standing outside, in the cool night air afterward, feeling the most transcendent feeling I've ever felt in my life. It's like I had just finished a tour of Heaven.
