Christ died to transform me, not to relabel me.

Jesus on the cross is the pivot point of history.
Like the hands on a clock meet in the center,
He is the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end.
"In him all things hold together." (Colossians 1:17 {NIV})

Whether we like it or not,
Christ is the standard of GOOD,
and EVIL is simply anything that misses that standard.
We are all off-target archers,
So He did the only thing He could do.
He became the target on a cross of shame,
Two crossed beams of wood from
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
He was the standard of BEAUTY,
But willingly became a shamefully naked man
Slaughtered on a hideous tilted X
To cancel out our naked shame.

Adam failed us.
Christ redeemed us.
God accepts us,
Unless we reject Christ.

God raised Christ from the dead
To confirm that Christ's final words, "It is finished,"
Would be transformed into "the beginning."
The cross is empty,
And because of Christ's love,
Our lives are full.

Alpha and Omega,
Name above every name --
Christ is our victory.

Christ's cross is the pivot point of history.
Before the cross,
Sacrifice of a blemish-free animal was a foreshadowing of the cross.
Now, the Eucharist is a remembrance of the cross.
They were two roads crossing at the same pivot point of history --
Christ crucified.

I've spent my whole life trying to label myself --
An exercise in futility.
The world has tried to label me and reject my labels.
But Christ died to transform me, not to relabel me.
