February Two.
The groundhog saw his shadow.
Six more weeks of winter.

February Two.
The shadow saw his groundhog
And laughed in his face,

**********Ho! Ho! Ho!
**********It feels like spring;
**********The snow is melting,
**********And this poet
**********Sits outside on a bench,
**********Writing with his bare, warm hands
**********Onto snowy-white paper,

********************It's so obnoxious
********************The way that that song
********************Playing on my radio
********************Sings my biography!
********************How did they know?
********************How did they know?

Snow melts into slush
In the palm of a colossal, concrete hand,
And its gargantuan, bulky fingers (curved like talons)
Seem to exclaim the exclamation
To birds flying overhead,

**********Spring dances again!
**********Welcome home, my friends!
