Ha ha ha! I was just remembering a time when I was bawling my eyes out, with tears streaming down my cheeks, crying out to God, "Why have you had me be single my entire life? Do you enjoy watching me suffer?" I'm laughing now, when I realize God's answer. "No! I do not enjoy watching you suffer! That's why I've kept you single!"

He probably even answered me that way at the very moment I asked the question. I just couldn't hear the answer because I was crying so loudly. Thank you Jesus, for being my sufficiency, no matter what my marital status is. And do not let me fall prey to Satan's lie that marriage would make me a more valuable human being. Being made in God's image is the measure of everyone's worth, and it's why he sent his Son to us as one of us.
