Romans Chapter 7 is one of my favourite scriptures, in which the apostle Paul laments the fact that he sins even though he is a believer. The only difference between the believer and the unbeliever is that Jesus hands us his report card and the believer accepts it. The unbeliever rejects Jesus' report card because the unbeliever is selfish and wants the grade he himself earned, even if it is an F. Basically, we either get an A+ with Jesus' report card in our hands, or we get an F for our own Fallen attempts at righteousness, as we stubbornly hold onto the evidence on our own report card. And everyone on the planet starts with an F. And if they have the A+, it's only because Jesus gifted them his report card in exchange for their pathetic one. It does not mean they become sinless. In fact, the closer they get in their relationship with God, the more they will be aware of their sin and their need for Jesus' report card. Our perfection comes in the next life, not this one. When a self-anointed "Perfect Christian" points to a believer and says,
"You're a sinner!"
the believer should simply respond,
"Duh! That's why I'm a believer!"

Our perfection comes in the next life, not this one. That's another reason we need Jesus -- to help us through our current lives.

My two years (Aug. '87 to May '88 & Jan. '89 to Dec. '89) at Covenant College (www.covenant.edu), in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, U.S.A., were two of the happiest, most spiritually rich years of my life. I loved the campus, the people, the mountaintop environment. If you ever choose to go to Covenant College (www.covenant.edu) in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, U.S.A., just don't make my mistake. I enjoyed it so much that I left on academic suspension ;-)

Eventually, in Dec. '95, I "did" receive my Bachelor of Arts from Valparaiso University (www.valpo.edu), in Valparaiso, Indiana, U.S.A. My major was ART (with a GRAPHIC DESIGN concentration), and my individualized minor was THEATRE AND DANCE. Naturally, all this led to several janitorial jobs ;-)

Now I'm happily settled back in my home country of Canada. After getting tired of losing jobs due to my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), I decided to stop torturing myself and get the help I needed. Therefore, I've been happily retired on Disability pensions for my OCD, since 2004. There's still a lot of stress in my life, with an anxiety disorder, but there's a lot less without the worries of getting and keeping jobs. Now my life is devoted to sharing my "JONATHAN TAD KETCHEN Creative Adventures" (JTK.CA) online, and there's no pressure, because I don't have to do it.

I just had a weird dream of
Chickens and ducks being ushered into heaven.
The chickens were singing Bach...Bach, Bach, Bach.
But it was really amusing to hear the ducks
Quacking their hymns.
