I used the signature below on a post a while ago and just rediscovered it. I've tweaked it slightly. I like the way it simply and neatly covers my four websites without getting as convoluted as my various signatures tend to. I think I'll use it for a while, until I redesign my identity again. An artist is never satisfied ;-)

I "FINALLY" watched "THE DARK KNIGHT" for the first time. I was kind of disappointed. I found it really hard to follow, even with the DVD subtitles. I also found it weird how such a gore-filled movie showed so little gore. The friend I was watching it with said that it was because they wanted to get a PG rating. I think that's just as dumbing-down stupid as a kids' version of "THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES" in which he was walking around in his underwear instead of his birthday suit. Truth gets dumbed down all the time so that people don't get offended. Offending people is this culture's chosen major sin, which is stupid, because if you read the New Testament, Jesus made a practice of offending people, and he had no sin. So there! Rant over ;-)

I'm more confident with the domains I've registered to the year 2013, through Domain People, even though I have not ordered hosting through Domain People. For now, using the automatic redirect feature is enough for me.

Eventually, I may get web hosting service through Domain People for my super-short

I've given up and am happy with singlehood. I've come to the conclusion that women do their hair and put on their make-up so that we can "just be friends." If they want me, they can chase me for a change. And unless they were already on my desert island list, I may have to say, "Let's just be friends."

If my life were a movie,
Choreographed and clean,
I'd be happy.

If my life were set to music
And Oscar-winning cinematography,
I'd be healthy, wealthy, and lean.

If my life were run by a script,
I'd know my future.

If my life were a movie,
I'd have a fan club of millions
And all my problems would be whitewashed
With a convenient plot.

If my life were a movie,
I'd be at the beck and call of the spin of a reel.
I'd have two hours of life.
Then darkness would envelop me
Until, once again, light would blast through my
Celluloid, transparent skin.

If my life were a movie,
I'd have no future.

I must step beyond the cosmetic cosmos
To be who I truly am;
Accept my faults and foibles
And my struggle against them;
And accept the fact that life is
An unpredictable stretch of decades,
Not a programmed two hours of unrelenting perfection.

Woman walking
In the crisp dimness of the night,
Shadowed by the street lights,
Bathed in their electric hum.

Her silhouette,
A shadow of substance,
Is stepping toward me
Or stepping away;
It's hard to say.
This distance plays tricks on my eyes
And on my longings
As I stand
(In another's eyes)
In the crisp dimness of the night,

Standing still.

Tad's Note: This poem, while it deals with more mature longings also brings back memories of my childhood. From ages 5 to 8, I lived on Park Street, in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was during this time I first noticed the visual phenomenon described in this poem. I would see a person in the distance walking, but because of the distance, I could not tell if this human silhouette was walking toward or away from me. Even now, being a grown up, looking for more than the answer to a visual puzzle, longing for romance, I always imagine the story of this poem taking place on Park Street, in Sydney.

There are three people in this poem, (1) the distant female walking silhouette I'm gazing at, and (2) me, of course, plus (3) the mystery woman longing for my "shadow of substance standing still." Maybe all I need to do is stop looking for unattainable love at a distance, and turn around to see who's right behind me with eyes all a-glow.

I've lived all over the U.S. and Canada, so I guess I'm a Canerican. I even insisted on using Canadian spellings in my American schools. The spellings of "cheque," "serviette," and "theatre" are my "favourites"; and orange has always been my "favourite" "colour." But, as much as I enjoyed the U.S., I'm so happy to be permanently settled back in Canada, and even more-so in the province of Ontario. I don't ever plan on leaving Ontario's borders again. There's enough to see and do in Ontario for a lifetime! "Most" of my relatives live here. And I am a CN Towerholic ( http://cntower.ca ), so, living in Ontario is definitely non-negotiable! ;-)

I saw a rainbow yesterday, reminding me of God's promise, in the book of Genesis, to never again destroy the world with a flood. I shared this with my mother, and I joked, "He won't destroy it with a flood, but with fire. Read the book of Revelation."

Now, seeing an AVAAZ.ORG anti-nuclear graphic for "NUCLEAR WEAPONS: GLOBAL ZERO IS COMING" ( http://www.avaaz.org/en/time_to_global_zero/50.php ), with a nuclear missile launching into a "no nukes" slash logo, with Medvedev and Obama in the foreground; I am having an epiphany. Perhaps it will not be God who destroys the Earth with fire; perhaps it will be we who do the deed with our own evil invention of nuclear weapons.
