"FOREVER NOW" by JTK.CA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You swim through the ocean of my heart, And I wonder where my lips should start-- An ode to your beauty or song of desire? Nothing but you can inspire This poemless poet to find the words That come so naturally to the birds, Who every morning sing your name And teach me how to do the same.
So come with me And we shall sing And learn of joy Forever now, And open wings of love.
I ask you now, my precious one, Teach me how to fly.
"POEM MOUNTAIN" by JTK.CA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There's a line that makes a poem great. The poem is a mountain, the inspired line... the mountain peak. The mountain climber/ poem reader climbs to the top, reaching a breath- taking view. He continues to savour the inspired line as he treks back down Poem Mountain's majestic face. He's sure to climb again and, next time, bring a friend.
"THE TIDE" by JTK.CA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Broken moonlight -- Shattered on the ocean As the tumult rolls toward the shore.
Broken dreams -- Shattered in my waking hours. We are here, but each alone.
Broken moonlight -- Shattered on the ocean. I am sitting on the sand; I'm also made of dust And I'll be washed away (Every grain) When the tumult comes.
"WISDOM (Dedicated to a typographical error)" by JTK.CA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will my biggest mistake Become my biggest victory? We'll just have to wait and see Which wisdom prevails on that day.
Will the biggest award Be for the biggest tragedy?
Colours Twist into The axis of black & white As we're untwisted back into a time In which our god box could speak less clearly, With visions less profound, Yet had something much more worthwhile to say.
But today Red paint stains my mind Making you red like wine And just as intoxicating.
Bubbles burst on the floor In the halls of sincerity.
Afraid of you Because I don't understand, I take you by the hand, Leading you gently to the ocean Where I push you in, Hoping to replace a drowning victim With a crowning creation.
Bubbles burst on the floor In the halls of sincerity, Leaving smatterings of soapy film As sincerity twists into lies.
My friend Izzy Novak's Videopoem "WICKED" (below) reminded me of my poem "WISDOM (Dedicated to a typographical error)" (above). Enjoy both ODES TO CREEPINESS ;-)
"HAPPILY SINGLE" by JTK.CA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My recent blog post was titled, "SINGLE AND DESPERATE," so, am I contradicting myself? No! I am "SINGLE AND DESPERATE" and "HAPPILY SINGLE." Both are possible, because I'm a complex human being. Everything you read about me on my various websites is just skimming the surface of who I am. I know that's a scary thought, and I'm probably the most OPEN person you'll ever meet. If you're wondering why my shirt is so bloody, I've been wearing my heart on my sleeve.
Anyway, I am "HAPPILY SINGLE," and God has given me a new perspective on my lack of romance. At least my interpretation of what he has shown me recently is that, "I can better serve God as a friend to many than as a lover to one." Of course, I'd still love the latter; but I'm content living without it, as long as I have the former. I have more friends than I can count, and I am eternally thankful to the Eternal One for gifting me with them all.
I've also been on Disability pensions for my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) since 2004, and I am quite happy in retired life. I often tell myself, "Do you really want a relationship? You now enjoy a life of no responsibilities. You do realize that relationships are hard work? Think about it Dummy! You hate hard work!"

This is the first picture I've Photoshopped and labelled with my new http://tr.im/lumixdmclz10 digital camera. I took the shot from my balcony. That big puffy cloud is my favourite kind. Enjoy! :-)
"EXPLORING" by JTK.CA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Clouds of pink pastel And sky of powder blue Send me exploring On the edge of night and day.
I'm riding my bicycle on the edge of a shadow That covers half the Earth.
The Sun's light cannot penetrate the planet's solidness, Cannot get to the core of this mystery. The Earth just turns, And the Sun shines As I roll across the confines of its light.
Following roads almost new to me, Reality enters a dream.
Darkness and questions lead me. Am I finding a new way back home Or entering a world of strangers?
After what seems like a full night of dreaming, I turn the corner back into reality, Riding down the main road of our village.
